News Corp.'s Fox will be distributing movies (including X-Men: The Last Stand) and TV shows (e.g., Prison Break and 24) via MySpace.com and Direct2Drive, and perhaps other websites it owns, reports CNET. TV shows will cost $1.99 to download, movies will cost $19.99. The move is seen as an effort by Hollywood to ensure Apple's iTunes does not come to dominate movie digital distribution as it has digital music. iTunes offers some Fox shows, but they're viewable only on Apple products, such as the iPod.
