Sometime during the final hours of every shift, Cpl. David Dover sits down at a computer in the Clover Police Department and logs into his MySpace.com account.
But he isn't going there to socialize.
Posing as a fictitious person, Dover searches for information. He looks at the personalized pages of people involved in his department's cases. He looks up perennial troublemakers' pages to see what they're up to. It's all at his fingertips -- what people are doing, what they plan to do and where they plan to do it.
"These kids talk about anything and everything," Dover said.
